I want to explore the human and animal emotional and/or physical connection, not just how we feel the same feelings, but how we aren't that different from animals. We feel the same feelings that animals feel at a different level because the only thing that separates us is our level of intellect.

Some ideas I have in my head:

- feelings of overwhelm, feeling like you just want to run and hide like a scared animal of prey

- feeling free,  fearlessness, like a bird that could fly anywhere

- feeling alone in your head, like an animal that lives a life in solidarity

- feeling of connection with someone who you love with all of your heart, two animals that mate for life, mating rituals

- feeling when everything in your head is screaming at you and you feel like the world hates you, crows (or another loud mean flocking bird) circling/attacking a lone bird like a hawk, even though you feel like the world hates you, you have to stay strong

Methods that I am fascinated in and might want to conclude:

- Bright, semi-unrealistic color palettes

- painting with paints other than watercolor, maybe acrylic, gouache, ink (?)

- dramatic color and lighting affecting mood and emotion of the piece

- gestured strokes conveying emotion

- including human figures in parallel with animal figures in a piece
